On September 3, 2017, in the Hanshelleren cave of Flatanger, Norway, Adam Ondra clipped the chains of Silence and the sport's scale changed: 9c, the world's first, a grade no one else has repeated as of this film's release. This documentary from Ondra's own channel, shot by Bernardo Giménez, is the definitive record of that ascent.

What makes Silence remarkable isn't just the grade, it's the strangeness of the climbing: an inverted kneebar crux where Ondra hangs upside down to rest, moves he trained for by having his physiotherapist fold him into position on a gym floor. The film walks through the route section by section, and the send footage, complete with Ondra's famous scream, is one of the great moments ever captured in climbing.
